Don’t let your mind bully your body. Sometimes that can be tough to do but you don’t need thinner legs, a flatter stomach, longer hair, softer skin or a prettier face. What you really need is a change in your perspective and a higher self-esteem.

Compliments are something I just love to give out, I'm always telling people how nice they look and how intelligent they are. However, complements are harder to receive, we can brush them off so easily. "Your hair and skin look beautiful" often comes with the response "oh no, it really needs washing" and "oh, it’s just really good makeup" and when it comes to talking bodies, everyone is feeling bloated.


Somewhere along the way, we forgot how beautiful we all are. Just because someone else is beautiful, it doesn’t mean you aren’t! We’re in a world that is obsessed with scales, numbers and size when what should be measured is how kind, funny, radiant and unique we are.

You cannot weigh beauty. Just like you also cannot judge a book by its cover, so stop telling thin people to eat a burger and don’t assume someone is overweight because of inactivity or binging. We’re not in this world for long and you sure as hell will never be as young as you are right now. Embrace what you have, be kind to your mind and be just as loving to your body.
